Introduction

Wondering what could 2:1 mean?? :) Well, this time we decided to give the answers and make rasikas choose a befitting question to suit the answer :) The only little catch is that you have to pick two clues to suit the same answer and hence the name ‘2:1’

Rules of the game

You are supplied with three data sets.

Set - 1 contains 10 names of several popular Carnatic personalities. This is to be treated as the answer for which you must pick the question from Set - 2 and Set - 3.

Set - 2 contains 10 audio clips, could be pallavi lines of kritis, ragas or any line taken from a kriti.

Set - 3 contains short clues about the Carnatic personalities provided in Set-1.

For every answer in Set - 1, there is a matching audio clue in Set - 2 and a matching theory clue in Set - 3. You need to identify the correct audio and theory clue for every answer in Set - 1.

There are 10 questions to be answered. Every correct clue gets 10 marks, thus making a maximum of 200 marks possible. Some of the clues are simple, some are little tricky and for some you need to think little away from the obvious. Don’t want to give away too many clues, so best to leave it here and let you feel the thrill of solving the quiz!

How to go about solving the quiz?

The personality given is - M. S. Subbulakshmi.

The matching audio clue for this would be No. 11 (a line taken from Bhaja Govindam, a composition which was popularised by M.S) and matching theory clue would be ‘Clue K’ (M.S presented ‘Maitreem Bhajatha’ in her UN concert) So the answer for M.S would be 11-K (looks like some bus route number :)) Guess you have got the drift!
