Dear Rasikas,
We are happy to address a new raga, Kalavati, this week, which also happens to be a long pending rasika request. Kalavati in the Dikshitar school is a different raga, what we have taken up here is the janyam of Chakravakam. This raga has been brilliantly handled by Saint Thyagaraja in kritis like 'Ennadu Juthuno' and 'Okapaari Judaga'. Enjoy listening!
